Great Meeting Yesterday!

International Film Festival!

We are meeting with Beach Theatre today to discuss our International Film Festival for USF St. Pete (Spring 2008). We are joining forces with the Spanish Club/Department and potentially other departments at USF. We will be having many fundraisers this semester and next. Let me know by sending an email (frenchclubstpete@gmail.com) if you would like to participate somehow.

We will be applying for The Tournees Festival : http://www.facecouncil.org/tournees/index.html
It is an $1800 grant for 5 French Films!

We have a list of films to choose from here is our potential list...check them out online!

My first choices are:

- Les triplettes de Belleville
- Stupeur et tremblemetts
- Un long dimanche de fianceilles

La première réunion du club français

Bonjour!

We will be meeting THIS Thursday, September 13 @ 2pm in the Davis
Student Lobby (where the coke machines are at).

We plan to move the location to a room or outside later in the
semester, but since this is our first meeting we would like to be as
visible as possible.

At this meeting we will be discussing our plans and ideas for this
year. Please come with your ideas, suggestions and comments for the
French Club. We have not finalized our budget yet so please come and
share your thoughts!

Also there will be plenty of French cookies and chocolates!

I have a question!

Why is it more difficult to speak a foreign language than to read, write or listen (hear and understand) a foreign language? And how do you overcome this problem?

I will research this and add the answer to this post...very soon!
